Assoc Dir, Strategic Initiatives & Business Development
The role of Operational Excellence & Strategic Initiatives & Business Development aims at identifying, developing and implementing commercial solution strategies that enable IQVIA and our clients to deliver value across IQVIA's data, technology, Primary Market Research (PMR), Payer Provider Government (PPG) and services portfolio as well as focusing identifying process improvement opportunities within Supply Services (with PMR being the priority), developing improvement plans with the team and oversee the execution of these plans. In this role you will play an instrumental role in executing local business strategy.
PMR: With PMR being the priority for the first year of the role, your responsibility is to;
- Lead and grow a team of Project Managers and Analysts who are focused on developing and delivering PMR solutions/projects on time and with high quality.
- Maximize resource utilization and ensure that the proper mix of skills and capabilities exist within the team to meet or exceed client expectations.
- Ensure the profitable growth of PMR business.
- Collaborate with account teams (sales and consulting) to drive relationships and develop or grow new opportunities across accounts. Generate new and repeat business within accounts.
- Develop yearly account planning with account teams to meet or exceed revenue targets and make sure account plans are executed (for PMR)
- Contribute to the development of winning proposals, pricing, project planning, delivery.
- Work with the team, management and stakeholders to identify project scope, priority, goals, and milestones.
- Work cross-functionally to eliminate risks and barriers that can jeopardize projects.
- Monitor and communicate project progress to the organization.
- Contribute to the high-quality of end deliverable by making sure other services & products are harmonized with PMR results to deliver relevant insight and foresight to the clients.
- Provides follow-up with client after project deliverable have been completed to ensure client satisfaction.
- Identify and screen process improvement opportunities/projects.
- Engage continuously with regional and global PMR teams to adapt new capabilities and leverage regional / global practices into local opportunities (internal & external).
Solutions:
- Work with the Director to develop, coordinate, and drive the strategic initiatives and business development within Supply Services to diversify our offerings via PPG engagements, new technologies and new data sources such as e-commerce
- Drive internal and external (market) gap analyses, ideate prioritized solutions, develop business cases that align with the company’s strategic vision
- Alignment across IQVIA account teams, technology, data, and other pillars, and the Local, Regional and Global Business Units / Center of Excellences.
- Frame / Define the solution/s to take to market
- Contribute to organic and inorganic growth (acquisitions) recommendation activities when needed
- Support deal and partnership contracting activities to ensure strategic alignments
- Execute selected internal and external strategic projects and end-to-end acquisition activities
- Educate account teams and select clients on the identified solution / offering strategy and obtain ongoing client and account team feedback to optimize and evolve as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Operations:
- Contribute to defining the Supply Services Operation Excellence agenda to deliver business and financial objectives.
- Assess, identify, and map all existing Operation Excellence opportunities (identifying synergies between projects) and key stakeholders.
- Partner with business leader and project sponsors to define Operation Excellence opportunity project plan, resources needed and methodology.
- Track project status and results through standard reporting and undertake end-of-project reviews with a view to future process improvements
- Provide timely reporting on program outputs based on defined metrics.
- Support the Leadership team in driving a culture of operational excellence and encourage change management.
- Work in coordination with the related CoEs and make sure of an on-going sharing.
