Job Overview
Works directly with clients to provide value added input and to deliver projects built around strategic issues. Has responsibility for ensuring delivery of high levels of client satisfaction. Achieves the Federal Government Healthcare Technology strategy and budgets. Provides expertise in the government environment, culture and market conditions.
Delivers high quality, on-time deliverables to client projects to the government within the areas of technology solutions, consulting, and research. May have broad knowledge of several industries and/or broad experience within a specialty area (i.e., life sciences, management, data, technology, analytics, performance management, etc.). Works closely with fellow Senior Leaders and Go-to-Market Team members within Government Solutions on an ongoing basis. Responsible for managing and growing the technology and services federal government healthcare portfolio. Performs quantitative or qualitative analysis to identify client issues. Reviews and analyzes client requirements and develops insightful, value add proposals; communicates with clients; develops and may present complete client-specific solutions and recommendations. Creates client reports. Connects business problems to proper solutions and offerings. Primarily project focused and solution driven. Develops and/or elevates new business opportunities through the identification of follow-on work and new leads. Provides follow-up with client after project deliverables are complete to ensure client satisfaction.
May possess elements of strategic consulting however not primary focus. Implements initiatives into business operations. Coaches/mentors teams, supports business development, and contributes to driving thought leadership within IQVIA and its clients. Supervises a minimum of 2 principals with indirect leadership over delivery and solutioning teams.
Essential Functions
- Managing and expanding the Federal government healthcare technology and services portfolio.
- Achieves assigned revenue target for assigned country/region by offering and closing value-added solutions that address complex client issues.
- Responsible for both the sale and delivery of projects. In concert with the Account Managers, defines and drives strategy & revenue for Technology, Consulting and Research business lines. Provides expertise within the government domain on the environment, culture and market conditions.
- Ensures high quality proposals and deliverables result in a high level of client satisfaction on all engagements.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients.
- Fosters and cultivates business relationships with executives within federal government healthcare agencies.
- Promotes awareness and market pull-through of IQVIA Government Solutions within the government through publications, presentations and conferences, etc.
- Maintains a close alliance with all IQVIA practices, service lines, and product teams to ensure that the best interests of the client/government agency, Technology, Consulting and Research and IQVIA health overall, regardless of revenue recognition.
- Primary owner of client engagements with ultimate responsibility for client satisfaction and delivering high levels of quality/added value.
- Meets or exceeds assigned revenue targets by developing and delivering insightful, value-added solutions that address complex client issues.
- Responsible for significant and tangible client impact from all engagements.
- Seeks out and identifies new revenue opportunities at existing and potential clients – ensures a continuous flow of business from client engagements.
- Takes lead role in proposal development to ensure actionable, on-target and timely proposals are provided to clients.
- Manages client interface and project team to achieve efficient and effective project delivery.
- Serves as a solutions-based expert, internally and externally, by applying consultative problem solving skills.
- Identifies issues of importance to the industry/clients and works with CoE and Geographic Leaders to develop tangible and commercial offerings.
- Plays a significant role on account planning and strategy with IQVIA sales team.
- Maintains in-depth current knowledge of client’s strategies, business issues and relationships from senior management on down.
- Remains current on industry, client and competitive trends and directions in order to anticipate and identify new business challenges and issues at assigned clients.
- Contributes to the enhanced awareness of IQVIA in the market place, e.g. through speaking engagements, client meetings, publications etc.
- Proactively strengthens subject matter expertise through on the job experience, participation in conferences and symposiums and other forums for professional knowledge sharing.
- Proactively mentors, coaches and shares subject matter expertise with others to elevate our capabilities to deliver world-class solutions for clients.
- May have responsibility for managing one or more Principals.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree preferred, Bachelor's Degree required.
- 15 years of increasing responsibility in the US Federal Sector.
- Proven track record of developing and sustaining long-term relationships with clients.
- Previous experience of revenue & profit accountability.
- Requires demonstrated experience in leading cross practice teams in the capture of projects of significant size and scope.
- Possesses exemplary business development skills.
- Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.
- Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of business, their interaction and the impact of external/internal influences on decision making, growth and decline.
- Knowledge of consulting methods, tools and techniques, related to functional area.
- Knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and professional/trade associations key people and companies.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning and change management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
- Values people’s opinions and encourages knowledge sharing. High level of energy, drive and enthusiasm.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $209,600.00 - $389,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
