Data Analyst, Tech Consulting

Job Overview
Under direct supervision, assists in providing systems support in developing and enhancing business systems to provide new or enhanced products to clients or effective planning, reporting, and analysis tools to internal functions.

Essential Functions
- Assists in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
- Perform extensive data validation/quality assurance analysis within large datasets.
- Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary.
- Serves as a technical expert on development projects.
- Competent to consider most business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Designs, documents, build and test analytics reports and dashboards.
- Automates manual processes and enhances software to be more supportable and better performing.
- Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to establish technical requirements.
- Create/maintain internal documentation including system support guide, process flows and other application support documentation where applicable.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Business Administration, or equivalent experience Req.1+ years of professional experience in big data analytics and distributed systems
- Knowledge of business-wide applications (e.g. third party software and internal operational applications etc.) or IQVIA client facing applications and products.
- Experience and knowledge of building database in SQL.
- Experience and knowledge with Tableau and PowerBI service and capabilities including DAX optimization.
- A Strong understanding of data structures, databases and transformation routines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and have experience in writing code/ SSRS /ETL processes/Monitoring processes in a production ready environment.
- Knowledge of Big Data with a focus on data engineering; optimizing data, pipelines and  ETLs
- Ability to complete work self-guided.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve data issues.
- Effective time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to understand client requirements as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems and processes to enable execution of those skills.
