Data Scientist - Python

Overview
We are seeking a talented and analytical Data Scientist to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in extracting valuable insights from large datasets and driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. Many of these solutions will be integrated into our Qlik BI platforms.
You will be responsible for the development and production of existing client offerings and will also be instrumental in driving innovation to develop new offerings and solutions.
Although not essential, a good understanding of and experience working with healthcare data is advantageous.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions
1.  Data Collection and Preprocessing:
•  Identify valuable data sources and automate data collection processes.
•  Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
2.  Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA):
•  Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends, patterns, and correlations.
•  Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
3.  Model Development:
•  Work with different algorithms and solutions for:
-  Machine learning
-  Natural language processing
-  Generative AI
-  Large language models
-  ChatGPT and other chatbot tools
4.  Data Visualization:
•  Present information using data visualization techniques.
•  Create interactive dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders.
5.  Problem Solving and Strategy:
•  Propose innovative solutions and strategies to business challenges.
•  Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
6.  Technical Skills:
•  Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
•  Familiarity with APIs and making HTTP requests.
•  Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Qlik Sense).
7.  Production and Maintenance of Existing offerings
•  Production, development and maintenance of all existing and new machine learning and analytics offerings.
•  Project Management – you will liaise with clients, internally and externally, regarding the various project requirements and timelines.
8.  Qualifications:
•  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
•  Graduate degree in Data Science or another quantitative field is preferred.
Desired Skills (Advantageous):
•  Previous experience with business intelligence tools such as Qlik Sense.
•  Previous experience with IBM SPSS Modeler.
•  Strong SQL and Microsoft Excel skills.
•  Strong mathematical skills (e.g., statistics, algebra).
•  Excellent communication and presentation skills.
